Hey! I’m Maycey Kight, founder of HR Honey Company — a business started with more than just honey. It started with a dream to advocate for the honeybees — a way of life that’s been part of my family for generations.

Somewhere between my deep love for agriculture and my growing awareness of how vital bees are to our food system, I knew I wanted to be involved in something that mattered. Something that not only honored the bees but honored the generations before me who kept them with quiet care. 

HR stands for “Honey in the Rock,” from Psalm 81:16:
“But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

That verse captures everything I want this business to be — a reminder that even in hard places, God still provides. Even when life feels dry or uncertain, He brings sweetness, and He satisfies. HR Honey Company is a celebration of that truth — and of the small, slow, sacred work it takes to bring good things to life.
